Daydreaming

It’s an ordinary day

I’m working with the kids

And it’s finally summer

That’s how my dream starts

As much as I miss the winter

I want summer to be here

Maybe it’s because of the dream

Or it might just be the warmer weather

Summer brings so much

Brighter skies

Brighter people

Brighter moods

Then something happens

I don’t know what it is

But I look up

And there you are

You show up

Without a word

And all I can do is smile

And say “Hi”

I don’t know what it means

I don’t know if it will happen

Some of my dreams do happen

So for now it’s just another one

It’s just me
